Terms of Service

Terra Talent Hub is a digital skill verification and talent assessment platform. It enables individuals ("Talents") to demonstrate their competence through structured assessments, earn verified certificates, and appear on public rankings. It enables organisations and individuals ("Employers") to create custom assessments, evaluate candidates, and identify verified talent.

Assessments on Terra Talent are developed in alignment with the DigComp 2.2 European Digital Competence Framework, a recognised standard for assessing real-world digital competence.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Terra Talent Hub. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3.1 You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.

3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others.

3.3 You must notify us immediately at support@terratalenthub.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3.4 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in behaviour that harms the platform or its users.

As a Talent, you may:

• Take available assessments and receive scored results
• Earn and download verified certificates for passed assessments
• Appear on the public leaderboard (subject to your visibility settings)
• Share your public profile and certificates with employers or clients
• Take assessments created by employers via shared links

You must not:

• Attempt to cheat, manipulate, or artificially inflate your scores
• Share assessment questions or answers with others
• Impersonate another person on the platform
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to complete assessments
• Create multiple accounts to retake assessments outside of permitted cooldown periods

Violation of assessment integrity rules may result in immediate account suspension and invalidation of affected certificates.

As an Employer, you may:

• Create custom assessments and generate shareable links
• View results and reports for candidates who take your assessments
• Use AI-assisted tools to generate assessment questions
• Make hiring decisions (hire, reject, shortlist) based on candidate results
• Message Talents on the platform

You must not:

• Use candidate data for purposes other than evaluating candidates for legitimate work opportunities
• Share candidate assessment results with unauthorised third parties
• Create assessments designed to collect personal data without a legitimate hiring purpose
• Use the platform to discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Misrepresent yourself or your organisation when creating an employer account

Employers are responsible for ensuring their use of candidate data complies with applicable employment and data protection laws in their jurisdiction.

6.1 Certificates issued by Terra Talent Hub represent that a user achieved a passing score on a specific assessment at a specific point in time. They do not constitute a guarantee of job performance or professional qualification.

6.2 Certificates are tied to a unique verification ID and are publicly verifiable at terratalenthub.com/verify/[cert-id]. This public verifiability is a core feature of the platform.

6.3 We reserve the right to revoke certificates if we determine that the underlying assessment was completed in violation of our integrity rules.

6.4 Certificates remain verifiable even if the associated account is later deleted, to protect the integrity of verifications already shared with employers.

7.1 Rankings are calculated dynamically based on real assessment scores stored in our database. We do not manipulate rankings.

7.2 Your appearance on the public leaderboard is controlled by your visibility settings in your Profile. You may opt out at any time.

7.3 Leaderboard tier labels (Rookie, Adept, Expert, Master, Legend) are determined by score thresholds and are applied consistently across all users.

Terra Talent Hub uses artificial intelligence in the following ways:

• To suggest scores and feedback for open-ended assessment answers (reviewed and confirmed by a human administrator before being applied)
• To generate assessment questions for employer-created tests (questions are reviewable and editable by the employer before use)
• To provide French translations for platform content

AI suggestions do not constitute final decisions. All final grading decisions are made or confirmed by a human administrator. You may request human review of any AI-assisted grading outcome by contacting support@terratalenthub.com.

9.1 All assessments, questions, frameworks, platform design, and content created by Terra Talent Hub remain the intellectual property of Terra Talent Hub. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without written permission.

9.2 Content you submit (profile information, written assessment answers, messages) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant Terra Talent Hub a licence to store, display, and use it to operate the platform and deliver the service.

9.3 Employer-created test questions remain the intellectual property of the employer who created them. By creating tests on the platform, employers grant Terra Talent Hub a licence to host and deliver those tests.

You must not use Terra Talent Hub to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to platform systems or other user accounts
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform without written permission
• Interfere with the platform's operation or infrastructure
• Use the platform in any way that could damage Terra Talent Hub's reputation or the trust of its users

11.1 We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or the platform.

11.2 You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11.3 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

Terra Talent Hub is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always available. Assessment results reflect performance on our specific assessments and do not guarantee employability or job performance.

We are not responsible for hiring decisions made by employers based on platform data. Employment relationships are solely between employers and candidates.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Terra Talent Hub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cameroon, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email if the changes are significant. Continued use of the platform after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
